Usa tanks versus Stug battery

Just few photos taken during battle.
I have HQ Jumbo, two units of shermans (Jumbo, 2 Easy8, 2 late Shermans), 5 Stuarts, 2 mortars Halftrack, small recon unit and M10 tankhunters.
My friend has german Stug abt from Bridge by Bridge. HQ Stug, 3 Stugs, 3 Stuhs, Konig Tiger, full platoon of Fallschirmjagers with panzerfausts, small SS recon,  2 RT Luftwaffe 88 guns. And ! Sporadic Luftwaffe ! (gamebreaker)

Just few pictures and hints, report will be later. Working theory so far, is that this battle take place in conquest of Chicago in late 1945. German army consisted from genemodified Kampfgorrilen, Nazi zombie and Luftwunderwaffen Haunebu (evil copy of UFO found by SS troops in 1936 in Schwartzwald forrest driven by Vrill energy). Or probably (realistic sollution) i was very historically bombed to oblivion by USAAF as usual.
I do not belive in Luftwaffe in 1945 on western front :-) So this is Haunebu UFO Wunderwaffe.

Now, seriously, in first turn LW bombers kills 4 from 5 Shermans in one unit, last run away ( i cant blame him). On turn 3, they come again and bail out 4 from 5 Shermans in second unit. They run away :-))
On turn 3, Stuarts come from reserve and take 10 shots on RT LW 88 guns. 8 hits with 5+ save (they were shooting on something turn before this happend). Non single of them die. Next turn. 25 shots from mg. 12 hits. One, one! 88 was destroyed. One.
So, Nazi zombies and genemodified Kampfgorrilen. They probably wasnt shooting on heads to kill zombie.
Next turn german take objective and i drop the game. I have 3 Stuarts and command Jumbo and no chance to do something. But the game was really funny :)

Königstiger

Hello,
lately i was working on  s.Pz.Abt. 503 Königstigers. I have the original models, from battlefront.
It is nice box of 3 tanks, with decals and magnets for turrets. Every Königstiger is a little different and unique. Sadly, first box from Battlefront has one Königstiger damaged, whole rear was melted beyond repair. Sales return was quick and nice. In 14 days i receive a new box and apology from Battlefront.
Base coat is white sprey, then assault cammo. Assault camouflage is based on Dark Yellow  XF60 - Tamiya, then strips Deep Green XF26 - Tamiya and finally Lino Deck Brown XF-79 - Tamiya. Traks is some black :) Then the are three fine layer wattered down sepia ink and then just few hours to finish and remade all details :-)
Then just two layers of Anti Shine Matt Varnish from here.

There is a result

Fallschirmjagers and Konig Tigers - Devils Charge

There is a rulebook for late war Devils Charge. It covers south part of german offensive in Arden forrest 44-45. Kampfgruppe Peiperlead the charge in south part of Unternehmen Wacht am Rhein.
Also, it is only formation allowing to play Königstiger and Fallschirmjäger in one :)

A few links

I have older Königstiger from diffrent box
Also, you need some Fallschirmjagers. Models are really nice

Painting FJG is kind a problem. German was pioniers in cammo and made bloody good work about it. It is really challenging to made it look the same way on 15mm models. There is a lot of manual on the internet but ... non of them was what i want to. Few links

The firts one is just to show FJG, second is full instruction inculding colors and the last one is inspiration how i would like to have my FJG.
I chose "Type III Smock in Splinter "B". Popular Swamp model was also used, but not so often.
German also used large number of italien green cammo pants.
I try on some models diffrent uses of color and cammo and i made some changes.
Color used must be brighter and straps on models must be white, not black.

Base for cammo is Vallejo 978 Dark Yellow. The unregular brown spots Vallejo 984 Flat Brown and last color is Vallejo 823 Luftwaffe green. Straps and bag is Vallejo 821 German Beige. Pants are Vallejo 964 Field Blue or 830 German Fieldgrey.

Helmet is a- the same procedure as uniform or b- Vallejo 964 Field Blue, the same color as pants.
Boots are Vallejo 995 German Grey. Wood on rifles is Vallejo 818 Red Leather, metal is some metal from Citadel color. Faces and hands are Citadelu Cadian Fleshtone.

After i have base cammo and all parts finish, i watter down wash Nuln Oil - Citadel color and wash the all model.
After wash is really dry, i paint again helmet and pants. Just a parts, but i looks much better. Skin is better to just a little drybrush too.

Personally, i made models by 4 together. White spray for base, then base colors on uniform, boots, weapons, faces, then cammo. Wash, dry, details, cammo. Finish.

Königstiger are next!
